This is why I am so glad I finally went natural!

I came across this video on worldstarhiphop.com. I must say when I watched the whole 3 min video, I was sad and at the same time reaffirmed in my decision to continue to stay natural. I feel for the girl in this video I remember having to get the perms and having to sit there and let it stay in, while all the while it is burning and itching the mess out of me! So glad to be free from it and I am so appreciative of this natural journey that I am on. I will continue to stay free! :) Here's the video below:

Discounts for Natural Hair???

There's a buzz going on in the natural hair community and blogs about a club promoter by the name of Joey Digital who is offering discounts to women with natural hair for the Atlanta Classic and FAMU Homecoming Events that he is promoting. He is offering discounts for them because he essentially has a disdain for weaves and a love of natural hair.

My First Ad!!!

I'm so excited to make this announcement! I am now officially a print model for Napurity Magazine! It is a magazine for men, women, and children who wear their hair in its natural state. Napurity Magazine features articles on how people wear and maintain their natural hair and shows how "going natural" and "being natural" not only deal with hair but it is also a lifestyle as well. This Magazine's official release date is January 2012 and I am so excited for it to debut and I'm so glad to have been chosen to be apart of it! I wanted to share with you all the ad will be used to promote a photoshoot for the magazine in Dallas, TX. Life isnt always about the next goal...

I wrote this as a note on FaceBook close to a month ago and I want to post it here, for any of you who need any type of encouragement or if you are like me and your trying to understand what your struggling with and going through is trying to show you or teach you:

Lately, it has been placed on my heart to share this revelation that I received from God a couple of months ago but didn't share until now when this came to me again these last couple of weeks. Now what I'm about to share isn't the revelation of all revelations, it's not going to be one that when you hear it, its going to instantly change your life; no it's not that. The message is simple but very profound and it is: "life is not about the next goal, milestone, or achievement."
