Product Review: Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil

Hello everyone!! I know i tend to get ghost on y'all and disappear for awhile (sorry!) but I will try to get better at that and post more regularly! :) I just wanted to do a product review of a product I have been using now for over a year now, and it is Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil. I found this product over a year ago when i was shopping at Wal-mart one day, and the first great thing you notice about this product is of course the price. The price I paid at Wal-mart when I first purchased it with tax came to a little over $2. Another great thing about this is that the price isn't just that at Wal-mart, I purchased this product at different times throughout the year at different locations such as Target and Walgreens, and I've never seen the price higher than $1.97! So lets look at the ingredients!

Side Note: If your like me and you tend to be somewhat particular about using natural ingredients, would just like to know exactly what it is your putting on your body, or your just curious as to what exactly those ingredients with the "big words" actually are and what they mean, below I list websites you can visit so you can get a better understanding.

Directions: How I use it.

I usually use this oil as a hair oil, basically I use it as an everyday oil to put in my hair to help keep it moisturized and add shine. The short steps I will provide below show how I use it when I want to keep it simple and wear my hair in a afro.

  1. I take my spray bottle filled wit water & spray my hair down
  2. I work my fingers through it as I'm spraying, that helps to loosen the matted parts of my hair from when I slept on it.
  3. After it has loosened, I apply a moderately generous amount to it, this helps to seal in moisture and to help it shine after it dries.

How it looks?

It is amber-ish gold in color and has a very light consistency, like oil. I love the smell of this oil it smells a lot like baby oil to me and I always loved that scent, and plus you know that baby oil has a light and very pleasant scent so its not harsh at all. The container is a pretty standard size for an 8oz bottle and I noticed that it does last me a pretty decent amount of time before I have to buy another one I would say any where from 2-3 months. However, the amount of time it lasts you would depend on how frequently you use it and if it is the only oil you use, for me it is not, so that's why it lasts pretty long for me.

So how would I rate it?

My experience with using Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil would have to be a good one, honestly. I notice that when I use this when styling my fro is that, while it does seal in moisture, it doesn't leave my hair feeling extremely dry after the "wetness" of my hair has dried. For instance, I notice that sometimes when it do this method of spraying my hair and using oil to seal it in, it is supposed to make your hair more moisturized and softer, but I find that my hair feels more drier as a result. With this oil, it does a better job of helping to not leave my hair feel as dry and it adds a great shine to it. So overall, its a good product I would encourage you to try especially if you can't afford the more pricier brands of oil. :)
